Ask HN: How many jobs have you had and whats your average?

It was my 40th Birthday last week and I started work* at 21, in that time I have had 7 full-time tech roles.

So 19 years work / 7 roles = 2.71 years per role on average.

Is that similar to others? Whats your stats?

*I classed work as perm full-time after university.
