I believe I know why Michelle is dissatisfied with an interaction we had some years ago over email, but that is not my story to share. I'm positive that I've never criticized her, on or off HN, nor attempted to induce other people to do so.

My comment about "A younger, stupider me" does explicitly repudiate advice that I had given before to people, because I had come to realize there are much better ways to freelance; it is in no way a commentary about other people.
