Ask HN: Leave Govt Position for 300 person company? Need perspectives

Anyone ever leave a govt position or largeco position for a much younger "startup-y" company (I know > 300 isnt exactly a startup) but compared to largeco its like one.

I wondered what types of experience people have had doing a `culture-shock` type move from largeco to much much smaller co/startup?
