Ask HN: Do you need on-demand terminal environment for ad-hoc job?

My company is a container hosting provider and we were tinkering with the idea of offering instant on-demand environments for developers who quickly need for ad-hoc jobs, like test or demo an idea or for remote pair programming.

The environment would be web based terminal and persistent. The environment would be spun up very quickly (within 5 sec.) with root access. You may install any thing or configure it as you like, save, backup, rollback, etc. Also, you can single click to publish a ready environment to internet. Also, you can invite your colleagues to access the environment directly via the web terminal by email. This allows remote team to debug and collaborate far more easily than screensharing.

We were thinking this would be useful for developers not skilled in DevOps or other infra software, but wants an easy to use single click solution to spin up the environment they need very quickly. They could select from a curated list of environments to launch.
