Ask HN: Car got broken into. Need recommendations on security camera

Long story short, my car was parked out front in our driveway directly in front of my house steps away from our front door and sometime in the early afternoon someone broke into our car and stole a bunch of stuff.

I've already filed a police report and did what I needed to do to figure out what was all stolen.

But that's now got me thinking of installing a camera out front so we can track this kind of thing.

Is there a security camera someone has tried and recommend? Are there any that allow me to access the feed remotely or notify if me it sees movement out front.

This was done in broad daylight while we were all home (I just didn't realize it was happening while I was inside the house).

Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

EDIT: This is the second time it's happened in the past couple of years. Last time they shattered our car window (different car). This time I'm not sure how they got in as there was no visible damage to this car.
