It's universally considered to be a beautiful bridge. Compare and contrast with the old eastern span of the bay bridge.

You have to admit the old eastern span was just ugly.

It's both the bridge and the location/environment, e.g. the fog banks.

Talking about the old eastern span, the new span looks a lot nicer.

I also don't understand why the Golden Gate is considered beautiful. I've seen it in person.

Paint the old one orange and it'll look the same.
