I quickly scanned the article, it seems it doesn't address one of the biggest issues I can see right away.

Wasted energy. Phones wireless charging is wasting over 30% of energy. How is this called a green technology if we would have to waste so much power.

It's less bad than burning fossil fuels. But yep, it's silly to call EVs good for the environment, the real green alternative is to cut down on cars.
