It's not a cop out, there is obvious and heavy bias, fact selection and omission, across all major news outlets

There is just as much bias in the reader - now they just dismiss everything because it's "an agenda."

There always has been, what's different these days is the lack of homogeneity in all those factors across major news outlets.
