The most common place I still come in contact with advertising is radio. It also is the only place where regionality seems to work. I mostly have my own playlist, but sometimes I still like to listen while doing chores or driving.
If you mean on the net the options are limited. I use an adblocker everywhere aside from a few selected portals I want to support, but if in doubt it gets blocked.
It probably depends on the product, advertising a webservice is probably harder to do on the radio.
I think most people still watch TV, so that is an alternative although probably quite expensive.
