ChromeOS was great for 'switch to a new machine and log in' use... but it's so much more complex than that now. Only the most locked down managed devices wouldn't have to worry about anything left behind on a device before someone abandons it.
At this rate, short of a native package manager and repo for installing applications to run on ChromeOS (instead of a container Linux distro on top), ChromeOS might as well be considered a distro in of itself. Especially with CloudReady being installable on non-Google sanctioned hardware.
