Ask HN: Cannabis Entrepreneurship in EU

I have some business ideas related to cannabis that I believe in and am interested in validating. I'm a chemist, and unfortunately this is a field that I can't pursue my country.

I'm now actively exploring avenues for pursuing them. Completely moving to US/Canada is not viable for some time due to COVID and family reasons. In Europe the possibilities vary a lot by country. To my understanding I'd be limited to work in medical cannabis, which is a hinderance.

In principle the products could be bootstrapped with low costs. Due to the legality issue and other ongoing work it is still at prototype level.

What avenues might there be to get this thing going?
