My depressing "wild" take is that the world population will peak in ~2100, and since life (human, covid, etc) is driven by exponential growth, world population will begin shrinking and we will soon see the end of the end of the human race as a space faring entity and soon the functional end of the human race as we are unable to sustain our infrastructure.
