The Quest 2 works without any stationary equipment. (LIDARs, whatever.) This makes it massively more portable, and the resolution is almost good enough. It's also much cheaper.

Personally I wouldn't do it, but it'd be difficult to use a setup based around e.g. the Pimax without building a room around it, and... at that point why not just install some regular monitors? You can buy quite a few at that price point.

Quest 2 has a higher resolution than Valve Index.

IIRC, the only headset with a higher resolution than Q2 is a PiMax.

The app is only available on Quest 2 and Vive Focus 3 at the moment, and Quest 2 is very capable for 1/3 the price.

If Immersed is going to become widespread, it needs to focus on standalone headsets, so non-gamers can use it.
