It's like laundering forged art with permission.
If the piece costs $20k and you sell 1,000 pieces for $500 each, you've made almost a half million dollars by selling forged art with permission
It's totally weird but I have to admit that a "possibly" real piece is like a million times cooler than a "definitely" print. Or... maybe at least ten times cooler.
