By function I was thinking more of a filter to show only "reverb" pedals, or only "delay" pedals, so you can compare specific pedals that do only specific functions.
I think stacks belonging to famous artists would be super cool, but probably very niche (and hard to source/verify?). More helpful would be a 'generic stack for xyz music genre' - which I guess would be subjective, but would be a good resource for someone like me who wants to get a good tone, but has no idea where to begin pedal wise for say Math Rock.
