Ask HN: Telling your employer about job seeking visa?

I am working remotely and want to get a new job in Germany. I am thinking of moving to Germany on job seeking visa and start looking. But I am not sure what I can tell to my current employers about my new relocation.

I might be in Germany for whole 6 months before I would get a job so I can't tell my company that I am on visit visa for 3 months.

Anyone else here had a similar situation and got away with it without telling your employer that you are moving to a new country to find job?
