Do your job well and show willingness and enthusiasm for taking on work and contributing. Promotion to "Senior Engineer", or role in new company at that level, will follow naturally 2 to 5 years after college. It's not a role (more of a title, really) that requires outstanding ability or career strategy, it just 'happens' after some time.
