Ask HN: What's a feature you wish existed in a product you use, but doesn't?

I use ComicRack daily and I wish the developer didn’t just disappear and that we would get some performance upgrades and dark mode. Unfortunately when it comes to comic organization and tagging, nothing even comes close to ComicRack.

All map apps should have a "I know how to get to the freeway" button.

Even though I use Waze to choose the route i'm going to take, I never need directions from my house to the freeway.

I'd like to be able to control my phone notifications in the time domain. Example: I have a friend who texts every sentence in its own text. Its not unusual to get 7 to 10 texts from her in a row. I'd like to be able to say, "Give me one notification for any number of texts, 60 seconds after the last one."

Another idea might be, being able to hold notifications-- I'd like to see all notifications every 25 minutes.

Today I sent out an important announcement to my extended family via Gmail. I received several kind responses -- but one brother told me that the email address I was using for another brother probably was not working.

If I were using Microsoft Outlook I could reply all, adding the updated email address. But in Gmail if I do that the newly added email address will not receive the entire thread up to that point. Google should fix this.

I wish I could turn all LEDs and lights off on every physical piece of electronics I have (as well as my car dashboard), and remove the option to make a noise or flash a light at me about something.

I wish iOS would let you screen calls like Android.
