I know little about China but briefly worked with a smart Chinese developer and what they said has always stuck with me.
They left China as it was to hard to find a job. There’s 1.4 billion people with lots now highly educated. With so many highly educated people the competition is huge so the best thing they could do is leave as less competition. This is coming from someone who was smart saying the competition was huge, to much.
If it’s true or not I don’t know. There is 1.4 billion people and from what I see it seems big on tech but as westerners and huge langauage/cultural differences where pretty out the loop.
