Contractor Posting for Bay Area
We are a start-up equity hedge fund based in San Mateo. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Python developer as a contractor for 2 (or more) months. Work hours are flexible, but we are looking for an average commitment of at least 20 hours per week.
The job includes Python programming, creating graphic reports, automating processes, writing bash scripts in the Linux operating system, working with large data sets, and software QA. The successful candidate must be experienced in Python (NumPy and matplotlib a plus), SQL, Linux, and bash. Some experience in the financial or money management industry is a plus.
