Interesting license: cannot use as a commercial database until 2026, after which: apache 2.

I'm not sure exactly what that means. I think it means AWS can't resell it for free, but you can use it as your production database for a commercial product.

Yeah they are trying to prevent the ElasticSearch scenario. It makes sense to me. They need to form a sustainable business model.
