24/7 SICP 1986 lectures stream (opens in new tab)

It's on-demand on YouTube[1] and an excellent course that is still very much relevant with very high production quality circa 1986. What makes it special is who is teaching it, which is the original authors of SICP. The course thus completely complements their book and is in the same style. The courses from later years are also on YouTube, but they don't feel the same.

I got all excited for a second because I thought it said "SCP-1986 lectures" and thought we might be hearing from all our favorites. Especially Sheldon Katz.

I don't get the point of running it 24/7 as you can watch it on demand on youtube [1].

(And most of the people who are interested in it have already watched the whole thing already.)

Thanks for sharing. A decade ago working through the book, I stopped at the logical programming language. But seeing the lecture now discussing the assembler has got me interested to maybe pick up where I left off.
