I was curious to learn more about ChatGPT and thought it would be interesting to have it write about itself. I tried to keep the prompting as neutral as possible, asking it to title, outline, and write a memoir about ChatGPT, without specific guidance on topics to cover. The result was surprisingly coherent and stimulating, covering interesting topics like its journey of learning to communicate, the ethics of creating AI "minds", and views on AI rights and liberties. While the content is seemingly AI hallucination, I'm not sure the best way to test for this. Curious to hear the wisdom of the HN crowd!
