Looking for one-person, data driven, documentation webpages on DIY, repair, cooking, and other hobbies.

Hard to precisely describe, so I'll go by example:

- Sheldon Brown's Bicycle Technical Info, the online bible for bicyclist [1]

- Guerrilla guide to CNC and resin casting, incredibly documented ressource to get stated in casting [2]

- Jeff Varasano's Famous New York Pizza Recipe, or everything about making pizza at home [3]

For arrangements/history/background/variations on folk songs, especially Irish, Scottish, and American ballads, mudcat.org is an incredible resource that's still rocking the early 2000s plain HTML look.

Can't say enough good things about sheldonbrown also. It's the ultimate resource for people who want to bodge a bike build from their parts bucket.

Sheldon was "forgotten" because Harris filled his site with ads after he died, caused the site to get off the first page of results. The irony is that the community would almost certainly have supported and paid for the site if they had made an appeal.

frets.com is a good one for all things related to the maintenance and repair of fretted instruments.
