Not OP, but: glass with metal lids and silicon seals, or glass... with hard plastic lids. :|

I also keep my rices and legumes in bamboo boxes.

Ah, mason jars. I was mistaken and thought the comment was referring to larger, 1-2L food containers (which I’ve only seen with plastic/rubber lids).
