Ask HN: Why flights are so expensive? any tools to find flights and destination?

I know there could be multiple reasons including: - re-bound from COVID - shortage of employment in airline industry - more taxes on Airport?

But I don't understand why SOME airlines are way then others.

example: KLM is 2x or 3x expensive then its counterparts.
