On the first day of launch, this plugin was used approximately 2000 times. The r/ChatGPT community responded positively, with the post garnering 1K views and 100% upvotes.
Backstory: The development journey of this Keymate.AI Search for ChatGPT plugin is quite straightforward. I had applied for the Browsing Alpha feature of ChatGPT, but, unfortunately, it was never granted to me. Even after today's launch, all other plus users have the Browsing feature, but I still don't. However, I did have access to ChatGPT Alpha Plugins, so I decided to build my own plugin. I found a solution online that lacked a proficient crawler, so I took the initiative to update it. Initially, I was using the tool solely for personal use, but I wanted to distribute this technology so that others could benefit from it too. The plugin had a restriction of 15 users, which wasn't sufficient, so I developed the /search shortcut in Keymate.AI's iOS Keyboard. Approximately 2K people ended up using it. Finally, the Keymate.AI Search Plugin is open-source.
My vision is to help everyone access the correct information at the highest speed possible. We need better tools to achieve this. I believe that the speed of information access propels civilization forward. Connecting Google Programmatic Search to GPT4 was a natural progression in line with this vision.
