Because I have multiple Microsoft 365 accounts at work, each with a separate (unsynchronized) calendar, I often had scheduling issues because of overlapping events. To solve this problem, I built a Microsoft Power Automate flow that synchronizes two Outlook 365 calendars. There is a complementary blog post [1] that explains the approach, how it evolved from previous iterations (including their shortcomings), and how to configure the Power Automate flow. I also offer the pseudo code of the synchronization algorithm.

I wrote a Docket calendar in 1999 for a law firm. Searchable by client and matter number and name. By practice area, by lead attorney, by billing attorney. It was better than Outlook and won an award at Lawnet 2000. Microsoft has a problem synching Outlook calendars and it looks like they are playing catchup.

Better to write a web app to synch all calendars into one like I did in 1999.

Better to write a web app to synch all calendars into one like I did in 1999.
