Not sure if this is an edge case or not. But getting approved for SES isn’t that simple. And then shut downs happen very quickly even for legitimate cases. AWS is very aggressive with SES.

Maybe they care now. They certainly did not appear to care when my mailbox was getting spammed into uselessness by their customers.
