I don't think I understand the question. I open the applications side by side as you would do on a normal monitor of any size.

Yeah, that's what would give me pause about going the same route; that sounds gross to me, because like, how do you ensure windows are all the same size? And it's just weird to me to have things not expanded and snapped neatly to the edges of the screen.

I use windows, none of this is an issue, window management is something it gets right and makes my MacOS experience miserable.

There's also the power toys that let you even more possibilities:
