I think it’s notably strange that most Apple product lines have a few obviously different form factors which have largely not changed in the past twelve or so years, except the “phone” which has grown into what used to be a tablet form factor. I think it’s exceptionally strange that there is such a strong reaction when people like me, who think the iphone 4 was the right size, comment thusly and it’s always a comment letting Apple off the hook because they “tried” and didn’t make enough money. And I think it’s absolutely mind boggling that I am asking for an iphone Air, and comments here and elsewhere point to the mini as if branding and marketing are some abstract concept that only applies when apple goes out and creates a new market. An iphone mini is not the same as an iphone air. And I stand by my op comment that this comes down to inept product people making bad product choices and the resultant marketing. I understand there is a huge market for an iphone max but I’m confused as to how everyone has agreed that the minority who want a phone sized phone aren’t relevant.
Maybe it’s not absurd to suggest that a bunch of powerful men are making decisions that do not account for women, whose hands are generally smaller, in tech. And I sure do hope that a new head of product for iphone will have some fucking vision.
