Airplane did a lot of stuff other than a fancy job runner, but that is what we liked the most. We had used rundeck before but was too heavy for the simple workload that we had. We tried other tools but no one seemed to have the simplicity of airplane.dev. Given how unstable the ecosystem for these tools are, we decided to build an open source version ourselves in-house.
Since this does very little compared to what airplane does, we called it microlight. Took me a week and a half to put this together. Hope someone else finds this useful.
This runs on a single server. Server and the tasks executes on a single machine. Its open source. Have fun.
