Mattermost is way better than Discord or even slack, for this type of communications.

Because we want people to actually use it.

Plenty of people use Discord, for better or worse. There are lots of slack communities that have little to no activity as well, so that’s an unfair judgement.

Same thing will happen with Discord eventually for sure, or something similar at least.
