I'm starting working on a Java code base, it's been years since i worked with this ecosystem. Java nowadays seems nice enough but i know of alternatives and Kotlin is the one that interests me the most. I browsed through what the official website has to say about the language but I'm very interested in having real life account of goods, bads and mehs of Kotlin.
To anyone using Kotlin over Java, why? | Better HN
I think the biggest thing going for kotlin is the null safety. I know how you feel I have used java since 1996 myself so its like why should I learn something else but in this case I think there are some good arguments for kotlin.
