I dont think that’s intrinsically good or bad, but it seems concordant with the finding in unemployment studies that a large proportion of unemployed workers who get a fixed period of unemployment payments end up finding a job in the last month when the payment is about to end. Which raises the question, should you make the period shorter to reduce financial burden of unemployment insurance on workers, or longer to allow workers to be even more “deliberate” about their employment choices?
