I got confused with window’s graphics device interface (GDI). Is this related? It is for windows after all.

Confusing, yes. The project calls itself Global Device Interface, whereas the good old Win32 GDI is Graphics Device Interface :).

second object pascal related post on front. is there a retro trend going on in programming? like pixel graphics games in gaming?

Not really, as it wraps V8, written in C++.
