Roedy was my life partner for over 22 years. He was the wisest and kindest person I've ever known - a true Bodhisattva. His whole life was devoted to "helping the planet"! He passed in my arms of MAiD, severely disabled by stroke, and terrified that a future stroke would deprive him of the legal ability to consent.
I think of him whenever I hear the Crash Test Dummies' "Superman Song":
"Sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him!"
