I'm exploring the idea that social media is not really social. How much different is it to interact with chatbots than it is to intermediate our human interactions through social media?

The name is an homage to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which asks (and maybe answers?) similar questions. How much "like a human" is enough? Do we care in the end?

friendlyfriends uses LLMs that are probably not really human enough to answer these questions, but I'm giving it a shot anyways.
