Sometimes "Don't just do something! Sit there" is wise. ChatGPT and other ML/LLMs serve to further isolate us, which is useful for capitalist extraction of our collective resources. Yes, my disabled child may benefit from AI at some point, but that's too narrow a view; the rising tide of AI will lift a few boats much higher than the others, and the boom-bust-quit game is not an appealing story. I think we're better off holistically using our bodies to meet most of our needs again, integrating mental, physical, and emotional practices. Being present in a rich natural environment, alone and with others, will meet our needs.
