Ask HN: Solo devs, where do you find others to talk about your projects with?

I'm building a small startup and I'm not yet at the point of seeking funding/advisors so I do not have that community. Most of my friends aren't devs and the ones that are are generally too busy with work to hang out on like a discord channel of devs.

I'm finding myself having questions like 'what email marketing platform should i use' that I want to ask people, but there doesn't seem to be a place to do that that isn't infested with people whose main goal is to promote their own projects (e.g. producthunt).
