Ask HN: Are remote cofounders eligible for L1

Currently, I am cofounder of a US based Startup. I am paid as a contractor.

My question is - Am I eligible for L1? How do founders based out of EU resolve their visa situation.

I have been going in with ESTA for meetings but would be great to have something that allows for longer residency and less renewals.
