These kind of natural disasters happen all over the world, some with much higher numbers of causulties. And then there are also human caused disasters and wars with large number of casualties. This disaster is probably a combination of both natural and human causes.

Story of Job? Punishing fake Christians? Y’know, the prosperity Xtians who put money and comfort ahead of service…. The people the big guy preached against.

Given that the warnings were given, perhaps that’s the sign that the big guy was involved. A test of who listens when it’s inconvenient? Who is an active vs passive participant in life?

Most religions have a set of rules and philosophies. Perhaps people claiming to be adherents should follow them?

I'm so sad for the victims and everyone around them. That article was a wild read.

I left Texas years ago and happiness for me truly was not having to deal with Texas Thinkin' anymore, or the insufferable blanket that was praying instead of doing ... usually mutliple times a day.
