In Sweden's northernmost city, Kiruna, north of the Arctic Circle, the city must be relocated so that the mining company LKAB can continue mining iron ore because the mining undermines the existing town centre. [1]
¨SVT is broadcasting live coverage of the unique relocation of Kiruna Church from the old city centre to its new location five kilometres away. The major church relocation will take two days and is part of the extensive urban transformation. The iconic church is 40 metres wide, 35 metres high and weighs 672 tonnes.
