The obvious problem with FSD is the fact that it isn't FSD. It is now FSD
Supervised --- which is an oxymoron --- kinda like jumbo shrimp.
The less obvious problem with this sort of marketing is that it lulls some drivers into a false sense of complacency.
If you actually do the active monitoring that Tesla says is required for FSD, it takes nearly as much attention and effort as driving.
So why pay extra for something that mainly temps you into risky behavior?
A problem for Tesla and Musk is that this sort of gamesmanship can lead to a loss of credibility --- as this survey showed.
