This view seems to be starkly at odds with today's reality - ICE raids target "certain groups" - all out-groups, and this is not driven by Democrats.

It is also incoherent with "democrats are .. on the side of the status quo and existing power structures".

This seems more like projection than anything else.

I assume he's referring to just people who aren't breaking the law. If you're here illegally and are otherwise a criminal, having come here illegally of your own volition, I don't think we can reasonably compare them with other groups.

This has very limited relevance to ICE raids. Again, that is not the reality.
