In the same week we have stories that claim Russia (and the US) has reverse engineered alien spacecraft[0] and that they need spy pigeons.

How about they focus on real issues, like the slow creep of Facial Recognition, CCTV, ANPR and the general intrusion onto people's daily lives by modenr tech.
