This framing implies that the US administration considered US or Venezuelan public opinion before taking this action.

Are you implying that a vote for the opposition is a vote for the US to take over?

No I'm implying that most people in Venezuela are happy to se Maduro gone and hopefully his whole regime as well.

Admittedly I cannot, I'm not Venezuelan and not familiar enough with the country.
