- The fonts. Sorry, but you can defend Windows all you want, but I have a much easier time reading on a Mac than I do on a Windows machine.
- The malware. Holy shit. This computer is trying to fleece me from the get go!
- Some defaults make no sense, but the only way to disable them means having to go deep in the OS, change a setting, and then restart the computer. Holy shit! What if I blew something up?!
- Since trust was broken early on, I'm forced to install 3rd party software for nearly every task.
- The whole thing feels corporate, but maybe I was never the target audience anyway!
First is needed only if you use a mouse with a wheel. Last two are just for my unwillingness to learn the Mac layout, since I still use other systems regularly.
I also used to have an app that would close an app after I closed the last window (curiously most apps on Mac keep running after that and you need to close them from right click menu), but I got used to it.
Window snapping was fixed in macOS 15, special apps are only necessary if you have a 32:9 monitor, otherwise the built-in support is solid.
