I like the concept, app store avoidance, but it really needs to be open source.

How do I know it's not the government behind this? How can I verify the claims?

The builder is joshhacks, who posted about it on social media with the title ''I built an ICE tracking app that can't be pulled from the App Store. Because it was never in one.'' Maybe that'll introduce him better. He posted media links here:

It feels misleading of him to include an article he wrote in the Press section.
