They did underreport it. When Musk took over, many big names lost thousands of followers, because they were bot accounts.

I would love to see what actual proof they had for each and every one of these accounts, to prove they weren't bots.

Rather than have shareholders prove a negative, why not just have the owner of Twitter provide the evidence to exculpate himself?
